Sabino|
Sabino Dua Ixã is a living legend and an elder among the Huni Kuin people, serving as both a political and spiritual leader. He lived and worked as a slave on rubber plantations, actively participated in the struggle for the liberation of his tribe’s lands, and studied with great medicine men of his people to become one of the foremost masters of Huni Meka (ceremonial songs) of the Huni Kuin. Sabino lives with his entire family in one of the most remote villages, Novo Segredo, by the upper reaches of the Jordão River. The village is a place where very few visitors come, and they live in deep harmony with nature. Sabino will visit Norway for the first time in July 2025.
