This work explores the tension between what is real and what is constructed — a central question in Prismaria. In an age of AI and commercial image-making, Beasley reflects on how much of our world is itself an artificial construct, severed from nature. The roses carry a more intimate meaning: a recurring symbol of her mother, who always planted fragrant roses and fruit trees wherever the family moved.
